What is Hyrule Capital?

When we create something in our minds, it mirrors the way God created the world from nothing. In this sense, our creative process is an act of bringing something from the intangible into the tangible, echoing the divine act of creation.

This idea animates much of my creative process. When I develop a new brand or think of a new business, I am immediately filled with an energetic drive to create.

Sometimes this energy is so intense that it makes me restless, compelling me to put it on paper, create a mockup, or write it down somewhere.

I recognize that this idea might be a part of a larger thread or a puzzle piece fitting into an existing concept I had in the past.

Many of these ideas have become businesses!

This website is a holding page for information about some of those professional ventures, some of which have been acquired and sold. It's also a place where I can ramble on my blog about my ideas and what I'm currently working on. This website was first created partly because I struggle with answering the question, "So what do you do?" Now, I simply say I run Hyrule Capital.

Lastly, and most truthfully, this is for me. I need a place to remind myself that life is a great adventure and things that seem so mundane, like business, are actually threads in a grander story we're part of. Business is important to me, but I'm not here on earth to make money, but it's a means to an end and I want to enjoy the process. I'm unapologetically Catholic and my worldview is deeply influenced by Peter Kreeft and John Eldredge, as well as many of the saints. It feels strange to link business, especially in such a secular world to the spiritual realm, but I believe creating something worthwhile and the act of bringing an idea to life and watching it flourish, is an act of supernatural grace.

Pouring myself into this meaning has helped my heart stay young and remind myself that all of these ventures are a vehicle for me to live fully alive with the breath and talents God has given me and people that he's introduced me to along the way.
